Hi friends in this video i teach you about usages of move tool in Photoshop CS6 version, and you can download that source file which one used in this video available link in below.
What is the Move Tool?
When it comes to Photoshop, some of the simplest functions can deliver a surprising amount of utility. At face value, the Move tool can seem mundane. This tool, however, delivers an amazing level of functionality.
It’s capable of interacting with any object in your document, and that allows you to achieve results almost as easily as cutting real objects by hand and moving them around in the actual world.
What Can Be Moved?
Just about any object that’s identifiable within the Photoshop interface can be manipulated by the Move tool, including:
- Text boxes
- Selections
- Pasted objects
- Entire layers
You can even use the tool to drag elements from one Photoshop document to another. It’s a simple drag-and-drop process.
The Move tool is the only Photoshop tool that can be used even when it’s not selected in the tool bar. Just press "M" on a PC or "M" on a Mac, and you’ll instantly activate the Move tool no matter which tool is currently active. This makes it easy to rearrange your elements on the fly.
The Move tool is also designed to interact with 3D objects. You can use the tool to rotate your 3D object in any direction or relocate the object in 2D space relative to other elements in the image.
How to Use Move tool in Photoshop
Step 1: Open Photoshop
Launch Adobe Photoshop on your computer. Create a new document or open an existing one where you want to move elements.
Step 2: Select the Move Tool
In the Tools panel, which is typically on the left side of the Photoshop interface, locate and select the "Move Tool." It looks like a four-sided arrowhead.
Step 3: Click and Drag
With the Move Tool selected, click on the element you want to move within your canvas. This could be a layer, text, image, or any other design element. Click and hold the mouse button.
Step 4: Reposition the Element
While holding the mouse button, drag the selected element to the desired location on your canvas. As you drag, you'll see a preview of the element moving.
Step 5: Release the Mouse Button
Once you have placed the element where you want it, release the mouse button. The element will be repositioned to the new location.
Step 6: Fine-Tune Position (Optional)
If you need to fine-tune the element's position, you can use your keyboard's arrow keys to nudge it in small increments.
Step 7: Deselect the Element (Optional)
If you've moved a selection and want to deselect it, you can press "Ctrl" (Windows) or "Command" (Mac) + "D."
That's it! You've successfully used the "Move Tool" in Photoshop to reposition elements within your design. This tool is fundamental for arranging layers, aligning objects, and achieving the desired layout in your projects.
